A Holistic Approach in New York, NY

Acupuncture involves the use of tiny acupuncture needles to stimulate acu-points, points that make up meridians/channels in the body that are connected and interconnected to various networks and diverse systems and that link our brain, heart, kidneys, liver, pancreas, blood vessels, nerves, muscles, skin, and all of the components that make up our body, mind, and spirit, and provide us with the ability to function on different levels during our lifetime.
Acupuncture is an effective way to treat a wide range of complaints, including chronic fatigue, depression, back pain, joint pain, infertility, asthma, addictions, and stress. Acupuncture is also helpful for many chronic illnesses and health concerns that have no clear origin or cause.   Acupuncture looks beyond the symptoms of the imbalance to the root of the problem in order to support the patient in a process of healing that develops awareness and change that are both profound and sustainable.

Patients committed to a healthy lifestyle, who receive ongoing acupuncture treatment for maintenance and health promotion often experience a deep sense of relaxation that allows the body to begin the natural healing process, greater fulfillment in all areas of life from relationships to career, a general sense of well-being, a greater awareness of the mind-body connection, and an improved immune system.
The acupuncture sessions at Hara Wellness Integrated are private and highly individualized. The sessions may include cupping & sliding cupping, electro-acupuncture, moxibustion, Gua sha, essential oils,  gemstone therapy,  and/or tui-na massage. Qigong exercises, dietary and lifestyle advice may also be provided.

Since 2013, I have walked out of Hara Wellness feeling refreshed, energized, relaxed, and focused. Poised to advise or listen, attend or direct, Sarah combines a warm, supportive presence with a rigorous and thoughtful practice. And her hands! They find the sweet spot that is most receptive to each needles's point. They soothe aggravated tense knots. My sessions seem to simultaneously fly by and linger in a tranquil suspension of the everyday. I leave the room feeling ready for anything. Tight muscles? No problem. Writer's block? No worries. Tension or flu or just feeling meh? Sarah has helped me through it all with uncommon sensitivity, humor, common sense, and a deep knowledge of the acupuncture tradition.
